Agadir
Agadir, the favorite southwestern city of Morocco,
literally means ''wall, castle''. The city was built very close to Atlantic
Ocean and due to its geographical location; its harbor has a significant role.
The city's economy is based on tourism and fishing. As
for the visitors, the most appealing feature of the city is its touristic
beaches. If you visit with a good timing, you can enjoy the beach, sun and sea
at the very best. Since the city is one of the most popular destinations for
Europeans, you can find beautiful palm trees along the streets or popular bars
along the shore representing western culture.
The best time to visit this modern city is to avoid
burning sun and planning your visit around April, May or September, October.
You can reach the city through Agadir-Al Massira Airport. For the local
transportation, you can either take taxi or buses. However, we strongly suggest
that you keep an eye on the taximeter if you are a taxi taker. The other
option, and I think the best option, is to rent a car. This way you can
discover this restless city very independently.
Agadir, as such a holiday destination, has a lot of
options for accommodation. Among more than 80 hotels; the most luxurious ones
can be counted as Paradis Plage Surf Yoga & Spa Resort, Sofitel Agadir
Thalassa Sea & Spa, Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort, Tikida Gold Palace,
Atlantic Palace Agadir, Palais des Roses and Sahara Hotel.
